Abigail Breslin
So, who really is Abigail Breslin? Let's just say that an average day in the life of Abigail is suspended on zip lines, becoming acquainted with a Tasmanian Devil, swimming with a sea lion, and spending the day on set with two time Academy Award winning actress, Jodie Foster.

For most kids like me, that doesn't sound too ordinary! But, there is more to this adventurous young actress than meets the eye. I got the chance to interview her and see that she is really just like us. I figured out that she is still very animated and distinctive when not in front of the camera.

Abigail was always very comfortable being in front of the camera, as she did a Toys 'R' Us commercial at only 3 years old. She grew up in New York City, and did her first movie, "Signs" at only five years old. So, now at 12 years old, she has been in many movies such as "Nim's Island", "Little Miss Sunshine", "Definitely Maybe", and "No Re-servations".

RoccoIt was easy to come up with the title for this story because the boy I interviewed is truly AMAZING!  At 12 years old Rocco Fiorentino already has many accomplishments and has amazing talents!

Rocco and his parents invited me to a Holiday Party last year that was made possible by Rocco’s Foundation. The Little Rock Foundation  was started by his parents Tina and Rocco Fiorentino.

The party was for children who are blind and visually impaired and their families. The party held at The Palace at Paris Caterers in Blackwood, NJ. offered carnival games, face painting, and a balloon show like none I’ve ever seen before by John Cassidy who holds the world’s record in balloon twisting.  Also, the Walnut Street Theater Company put on a performance called the Boy Who Cried Bully which was about how kids can deal with bullies, and everyone else!

Saorise Ronan

In her latest action/fantasy movie, City of Ember, coming to theatres in October, Saoirse Ronan finds herself in the role of a heroine. The movie is based on the book City of Ember written by Jeanne Duprau.

She plays Lina Mayfleet, a strong young woman whose main mission is to save not only herself, but all of the people in a fantasy city called Ember before all the lights go out.

She is competing with time to unlock the ancient mysteries of a city's existence which exists underground in bright lights.

Lina finds a puzzling document and her friend, Doon Harrow, has made discoveries down in the pipe works of the city. The City of Ember is one of those action movies that keep you on your toes.

For Kids Only! asked Saorise if she is anything like the character, Lina Mayfleet that she portrays in her upcoming fantasy/adventure film.

MadagascarThe hit 2005 family comedy, “Madagascar”, made fans “roar” with laughter and earned more than $500, 000,000 in the worldwide box office. This animated movie from Pixar Animation and DreamWorks is about a zebra, a lion, a hippo, a giraffe,  and a bunch of funny penguins living in the Central Park Zoo who get a taste of  what it’s like to live in the wild.

With the brilliant cast including Jada Pinkett Smith as Gloria the Hippo, Ben Stiller as Alex the Lion, Chris Rock as Marty the Zebra, and more, “Madagascar” brings out many emotions, and many laughs.
